Obituary For Samantha Lee "Sami" Robbins

Samantha Lee “Sami” Robbins, 57, of Powell, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Oct.16, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Born on Dec. 17, 1968, in Kewanee, Ill., to Denis Kitner and Linda Yelm Kitner, Sami married Brian Robbins on Feb. 11, 1989, in Galva, Ill. She spent more than 15 years with PIP and more than 30 years selling personal protective equipment products.

An enthusiastic sports fan, Sami proudly cheered for the New York Yankees and The Ohio State Buckeyes. She was deeply devoted to her family and attended her sons’ sporting events—home or away, rain or shine. That same devotion extended to her grandchildren, who brought her tremendous joy and loved spending time and enjoying activities at Nana’s house, rarely leaving empty-handed.

Sami also enjoyed gardening in raised beds and pots around her condo, growing herbs for her many recipes, relaxing by the pool, reading favorite books on her Kindle and escaping colder weather for the sun, sand and seafood of Myrtle Beach.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Brian; her sons, Trevor (Jes) Robbins and their children, Charlotte and Fallyn, and Blayne (Samantha) Robbins and their sons, Owen, Liam, Cayde, and Jayce; her brothers, Jake Kitner and Eli Raley; Her stepsiblings Malissa Mantz and Brad (Jen) Kitner, her biological father, Denis (Pam) Kitner; the father who raised her, Terry (Linda) Raley and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Raley.

A “Celebration of Life” for Sami at Vittoria’s Powell, Ohio was held on Wednesday, Oct. 28. A second Celebration of Life for Sami Robbins will be on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026, from noon to 3 p.m. at The East End Table and Tap in Galva, Ill.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
