Ronald B. Nelson 74 of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on May 17, 2026.

Ron was born May 30, 1951, in Kewanee Ill., the son of John and Helen (Hand) Nelson.

Survivors include his wife, Joni, son Chad, both of Jacksonville, Florida, brother Bob (Judy) Nelson of Bloomington, and sister Connie Erickson of Kewanee.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Melissa Sue, his parents, brother Tom Nelson and sister Bonnie Brody.

Ron graduated from Kewanee High School. He enlisted in the U.S Navy where he retired after 20yrs. of service.
