Obituary For Regina M. Saigh

KEWANEE – Regina M. Saigh, 89, of Kewanee, died at 3:10 p.m., Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the Kewanee Care Home.

She was born September 21, 1934 in Kewanee, the daughter of Matthew and Helen Klimkewicz. Survivors include her son Steven Saigh of Kewanee, her daughter, Sherri Saigh of Moline, her grandson, Zachary Saigh of Tucson, AZ, her twin sister, Irene Dir of Kewanee, a sister-in-law, June Klimkewicz of Kewanee, several nieces and nephews and her dearest friend, Linda Finin of Kewanee. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Edward Klimkewicz and Steve Pozio and her sister, Bernice Hoste.

Regina attended Kewanee High School. She retired from Martin Engineering in Neponset after 25 years of service. She was a member of Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church in Kewanee and its Ladies Mission Society. She enjoyed gardening, collecting porcelain dolls and going to the casino. She loved her family and cherished the time spent with them.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 10 at Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church in Kewanee. The celebrant will be Rev. John Cramer. The visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, February 9 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. The burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church.
