Obituary For Patrick "Pat" Stewart Graham

KEWANEE - Patrick “Pat” Stewart Graham, 84, of Kewanee, died peacefully at 11:35 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2024.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 6, at Saint John Paul II Parish in Kewanee. The celebrant will be Fr. Chris Haake. There will be no visitation. Recitation of the rosary will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. The burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Saint John Paul II Parish or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Pat was born September 6, 1939 in Kewanee, the son of Michael and Helen (Stewart) Graham. He married Judy VanDeWoestyne. He is survived by his loving wife Judy, two sons, Joseph (Celeste) Graham of Carlsbad, CA and John (Michele) Graham of Clearwater, KS, two daughters, Maureen (Tim) Wilbeck and Kathy (Earl) Malone, both of Wichita, KS, a stepson, Nick (Jacqueline) Boelens of Hackettstown, NJ, a stepdaughter, Nancy (Don) Bryner of Omaha, NE, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, a brother, Michael Graham of Davenport, IA, one sister, Jane (Jim) Hughes of Davenport, IA, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Patrick Graham, daughter-in-law, Julie Graham, sister, Sally VanWassenhove, sister-in-law, Angela Graham, and brothers-in-law, Tom Reinhold and Ray VanWassenhove.

Pat attended Visitation Catholic School, graduated from Kewanee High School in 1957 and attended St. Ambrose College. He worked as a plumber with Local #25 Plumbers & Pipefitters in Rock Island. In addition, he was a certified EMT.

He was a member of Saint John Paul II Parish, served on the Building and Grounds Committee, as a money counter, and in the Adult Choir. He was also a trustee for the Knights of Columbus. Pat enjoyed spending time with his family and wintering in Coronado, CA. He loved golfing with friends Del, Brent, Chuck, and Al, and was a member of the Baker Park Hole in One Club.
