Obituary For Patricia Summers

Patricia Summers, 91, of Kewanee, Illinois, passed away at 12:40am on February 4, 2025, at Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, Illinois.

She was born on November 11, 1933, in Iuka, Illinois to the late Vernis and Lillian (Thompson) Middleton. Patricia married Charles Summers on August 22, 1958, in Danville, Illinois.

In addition to her beloved husband of 67 years, Patricia is survived by her children Kathy (Brian) Manigold of Hana City, Illinois, Jim (Donna) Summers of Evansville, Indiana, Gina (Rick) Barto of Bradford, Illinois, Charles (Ruth) Summers, jr. of Scarborough, Maine, Ray (Leta) Summers of Champaign, Illinois, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also, her dog Lexi and cat Casper.

Patricia and Charles owned and operated the Kewanee Hotel, the Kewanee Motor Inn, and the Kewanee Motor Lodge all located in Kewanee, Illinois as well as hotels in Danville, Illinois and Alton, Illinois.

A private graveside service will be held Monday, February 10, 2025, at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

I lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kewanee Animal Shelter.
