Obituary For Oliver (Ollie) Richard Hamilton

Oliver (Ollie) Richard Hamilton, 46 of Kewanee passed away Monday October 14, 2024, at OSF Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

He was born September 27, 1978, in Kewanee, IL., the son of David and Joanie (Roginski) Hamilton. Ollie was the proud father of two daughters, Abigail (fiancé Dylan) & Keagan Hamilton. He was blessed with the birth of his grandson, Holden Michael, in 2023. He also leaves behind his “best girl”, his dog May. They survive, along with his brothers Chad Hamilton, Eric (Abbie) Hamilton, and his sister Megan (Andy) Paetzold. He loved being “Uncle Ollie” to his numerous nieces and nephews and always enjoyed spending time with his many cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandparents (Raymond & Alice Hamilton), maternal grandparents (Joe & Helen Roginski), his Aunt Jill (Roginski) Tellier and his Uncle Richard Hamilton.

Ollie was most recently employed at Four Degree Trailer, as an industrial painter, which is a position he held in several different businesses for many years.

Ollie loved fishing, kayaking, golfing, and most importantly, spending time with his daughters and grandson. Those who knew Ollie best, remember him as a happy-go-lucky guy that was always ready for a fun time. His family always teased him about wearing his flip flops all year round, but Ollie marched to the beat of his own drum. He was known to enjoy his daily fountain pop, midnight snacks and purchasing the most random things, just for the deal!

There were so many amazing qualities to Ollie that it's hard to put into words how much he will be missed. Although he left us too early, he will live on in our hearts and our memories forever.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Ollie on Saturday, October 19th at The Elks Lodge in Kewanee, from 12-4pm.
