She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, six brothers, a son-in-law, Phil Bryner, and one granddaughter in infancy, Sarah Brunk.

Mary graduated from Kewanee High School in 1941 and worked at the Walworth Co. office for several years before her marriage. She later volunteered at several local agencies, including Oakwood Health Care and Abilities Plus Resale Shop. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and bible studies. She greatly enjoyed her family and many long-time friends in Kewanee and Lakeland, FL, where she spent almost 20 winters. She enjoyed walking, playing cards, traveling, camping, and shuffle boarding with her friends and family.

Mary passed away peacefully in the home she lived for 43 years, surrounded by three generations of her loving family. It was the home built by her beloved husband, Merle, whom she looked forward to rejoining in Heaven for over thirty years.

The family would like to thank the staff at Compassus, especially Christine, and her in-home health care providers, especially Jen, for their loving care these last few years.
