Obituary For Lois E. (Yarger) Munoz

KEWANEE - Lois E. (Yarger) Munoz, 93, of Kewanee, died at 11:17 p.m., Thursday, March 27, 2025, in the emergency room at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center in Kewanee.

She was born on February 8, 1932, in Burns Township, the daughter of Fay Lester and Cora Bessie (Cosner) Yarger. Survivors include her three daughters; Dianna (Tim) Olson of Toulon, Cheryl (Brent) Majeske of Kewanee and Jennifer (Todd) Kelly of Normal, her brother, Howard Yarger of Mendota, seven grandchildren; Jessica (Justin) Knowles, Christopher (Abby) Olson, Brooke (Shawn) Dooley, Amber (Thommas) Martin, Austin Majeske (Julie Fristad) and Emily and Rebecca Kelly and thirteen great grandchildren; Natalee, Jason, Avery, Taylor, Rylee, Steele, Elle, Jillian, Paige, Esther, Finnigan, Eleanor and Emilia. She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandson, Jason Olson, three sisters: Jeanette Witte, Irene Boelens and Marian Bates and a brother, Kenneth Yarger.

Lois graduated from Kewanee High School in 1950. She was a homemaker and had worked in sales at various places in the area. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing. She loved her family and cherished the time spent with them.

Cremation will be accorded, and a graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 4 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in rural Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.
