He was a member of multiple car dealer associations, like NADA (National Automobile Dealer Association), Illinois Auto Dealers, and Illinois Ford Dealer Advertising Fund. Kurt and his father, Keith “Buck,” won the Ford President’s Award in 1998. My mother and father, Glen and Elizabeth " Betty " Godke ran around with Buck and Georgia. I was his Computer Network/Security salesperson with R K Dixon/Xerox for quite a few years, meeting Kurt at the Galva dealership the day a car ran into the dealership. Georgia asked if I had been helped and I said I was waiting for Kurt. I gave her my business card and she said just a minute. She came back with Kurt in tow and said you will meet with him in his office. She introduced Kurt to me and told both of us the story of my folks and them running around together, we did business together ever since, until I retired in 2024. My deepest condolences to the Gustafson families. Don Godke
