Obituary For Kathi Jacobs Fulkerson Walker

Toulon, Ill.-- Kathi Jacobs Fulkerson Walker, age 75, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 10:28 a.m. during a short stay at Toulon Hospice Heathcare.

She was born on September 26th, 1949, in Kewanee, IL. to Carl and Virgina (Morrison) Jacobs. She married John Fulkerson in Kewanee, IL where they had three children together, later divorced and married Gary Walker in Peoria, IL. She became a widow in 2010.

She is survived by her children Leanna (Curt) Rosebeck of Black River Falls, WI.; David (Sarah) Fulkerson of Moline, IL.; two sisters, Shirley Massey and Patti Dolieslager, as well as seven grandchildren Tyler Norberg, Bre Anna (Kelvin) Dondlinger, Tia (Mandy) Thompson-Huber, Hailey Fulkerson, Curtis Rosebeck II, Kendall Fulkerson and Blazin Rosebeck; three great-grandchildren, Regan Nanninga, Veronica and Valarie Dondlinger, and a special friend Jerry Dixion.

Kathi was preceded in death by her son Daniel Fulkerson, her parents, her husband, her brother Joseph Hartshorn and her sister Sena Marie

Kathi worked for many years at her mother's restaurant, The Diner, as a waitress. She later worked at the Fish House in Peoria. She enjoyed gardening, making home-cooked meals from scratch and specialized in pies. She had an avid love for motorcycles and going dancing with her friends.

When she entered a room, her infectious energy was like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. Her bubbly personality and beautiful smile will be gently missed by all who loved her.

Her greatest fulfillment in life was the love she shared with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A graveside cremation service will be held November 2, 2024, at Pleasant View Cemetery where she will be laid to rest alongside her son and parents. The service will be officiated by Deacon Michael Crummer at noon. A celebration of life will be held at the Flemish American club 313 N Burr Blvd., Kewanee IL., from 1-4 p.m. and all are welcome to attend both.
