Jerry E. Giorno, 74, of Kewanee, passed away Friday, April 10, 2026, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Jerry was born on September 13, 1951, in Kewanee, the son of Joseph J. and Joan E. (Munson) Giorno. He attended Wethersfield Schools, graduating with the class of 1969. While in high school he was a member of the track and cross-country teams.

Jerry enlisted in the United States Army in 1972, he was stationed in Panama for three years. In 1980, Jerry moved to Texas where he lived in Austin and Houston for over ten years, while there he worked in electronics. In 2001, he moved to Warsaw, Indiana and worked for a prosthetic joint manufacturer until his retirement in 2016.

Jerry enjoyed sending greeting cards for all occasions and staying in touch with friends and family. He expressed his love and support for the people he cared about through the cards, where he included many special messages. Jerry had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.

Jerry is survived by his brother, Jeff (Cathy Albaugh) Giorno, Austin, Texas; many cousins; special friends, Terry Eby, Greg Krieg, Bill Lininger, Greg Fargher, Steve Ewing, Kevin Martin, Kip Marlow, Ned Hubbard; many high school classmates; and two special caregivers, Kristen Kohler-Parrish, Lexi Jackson.

Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Golnick-Schueneman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the funeral home. Pastor Andrew Christman will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Military Rites will be accorded by the Kewanee Veterans Council.
