Obituary For Jackie L. Workheiser

Jackie L. Workheiser, 74, of Kewanee, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024, surrounded by family at her home. Jackie was born September 13, 1949, in Kewanee, the daughter of Lester and Dorothy (Kelly) Sullivan. Jackie graduated from Kewanee High School. Jackie married Gary Workheiser on September 17, 1966, in Kewanee; he survives.

Jackie is also survived by two children, Sherry Workheiser, Gary Workheiser, Jr.; four grandchildren, Drew Smith, Kyle Smith, Tyvan Workheiser, Taylor (Dylan) Kyser; and five great grandchildren, Karsyn, Declan, Krew, Jaxson, Chloe. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonnie and Theodore Draves, Margaret and Charles Rodgers.

Jackie worked as a pharmacy technician at Kewanee Hospital for 28 years, she then worked at Princeton Hospital for eight years; she retired in 2014. Gary and Jackie owned G Js Tap in Kewanee for 20 years. Jackie enjoyed going to the boat, gardening, and being outside. During her younger years she enjoyed bowling and was on the bowling league. She also enjoyed vacationing with her family, especially overseas.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Pleasant View Cemetery. Please meet at the funeral home at 10:30 am, to follow the family in the procession to the cemetery.     I worked with Hackie at Kewanee Hospital for a number of years. She was always smiling, helpful and just the nicest person. Deepest condolences to her family🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
