Harry Alan Moore, “The Farmer” 83, of Kewanee went to be with God at 2:20 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 4 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee with Linnea Gustafson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. The burial will be at Floral Hill Cemetery in Neponset. Memorials may be directed to the Wethersfield FFA Chapter.

Harry was born on May 2, 1941 in Sheffield, the son of Everett and Esther (Lena) Moore. His father died when he was 2 years old, and his mother married Edwin Larson who helped raise him on his dairy farm. He married Beverly S. “Bev” Bell on November 4, 1962 in Wyanet. He was her partner for 68 years and was an awesome husband, father of four, grandpa of eleven and great grandpa of two. He was a friend, confidant, go to person who would always listen and always made things fun and happy! He is survived by his wife Bev, his children, Sheri Sue (Jim) Streitmatter of Kewanee and their children, Jarod (Rachael) Carrasca and their son Baron Alan, Madison Carrasca and son Nash, and Erik James Alan Streitmatter, Teri Lynn (Larry) Harker of Lebanon, IN and their children, Kalyn Marie, Isaac Andrew, Tori Elizabeth and Garrett Mitchell, Traci (Dan) Hier of Kewanee and their children Daci Sierra and Traidan Cheyenne and Richard Alan and Lisa Moore of Trivoli and their children, Makenna Belle and Calab Alan, a sister, Betty (Dave) White of Kewanee and Edwina (Gary) Christiansen of Bloomington. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, and eight siblings.

He graduated from Buda High School in 1959, attended DeVry University and had taken some aircraft flight training classes. He was a farmer but had also worked over the years as a machinist for John Deere Harvester, Hyster and Compaction America. The Farmer was a loving Husband, Dad and Grandpa and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
