Obituary For Diane Kay Doe
Toulon – Diane Kay Doe, 82, of Toulon, passed away at 5:10 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home. Diane was born on December 2, 1941, in Kewanee, to Homer L. “Bud” and Lois (Winter) Clark. She was married to Donald Doe, of Toulon, for over 50 years; he survives.
Also surviving are their four children, Dawn (Tim) Green of Edwards, Doug (Heidi) Doe of Normal, Debbie (Mike) Krough of Aurora, CO, and David (Kim) Doe of Brimfield; 13 grandchildren, Taylor (Sara) Scheuermann, Nolan Green, Brady Green, Kaci (Tyler) Hampton, Abby (Brad) Davis, Sophie Doe, Eli Doe, Kaylee (Matt) Severinsen, Jake (Alexandra) Krough, Emily Krough, Elly Doe, Connor Doe, and Katie Doe; four great-grandchildren, Leo Scheuermann, Noa Scheuermann, Sophia Hampton, and Brooke Hampton; one sister, Cheryl (Donald) Hendrick of Kewanee; and one step-brother, Rex Turnbull of Toulon. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and all her babysitting children and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, John Turnbull; and grandson, Peyton Scheuermann.
Diane was very kind, caring and giving, as evidenced by being a licensed in-home childcare giver for 50 years. While her children were growing up, Diane was actively involved in Toulon schools, Elmira Church, and various other organizations. She adored her children and grandchildren and could often be found cheering them on at their various events. She enjoyed reading and watching her favorite soap opera, General Hospital, at 1:00 p.m. with her Diet Coke and chips. She was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bulls fan.
Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2024, at Elmira United Presbyterian Church in Toulon. Visitation will also be on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Art Blegen will officiate. Burial will follow in Toulon Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Elmira United Presbyterian Church or OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home. Haskell Funeral and Cremation Services in Wyoming is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences for Diane’s family may be left on her tribute wall at www.haskellfuneral.com.
