Connie L. Herring, age 63, of Kewanee, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria IL.

Connie was born on June 18, 1962, in Hesse Germany. The daughter of Byron and Rovida Colton who preceded her in death along with a sister Melissa Colton. Survivors include her two sons Todd Herring, Eric Street, two grandsons and two granddaughters, two brothers: Kelly Colton, Roger Colton (Tara), one niece and two nephews, a stepmother Marsha Colton, and her partner of 32 years Matthew Nichols.

Connie was raised in Woodhull Il. and attended AlWood High School. After meeting her partner Matt, she moved to and resided in Kewanee Il.

Connie enjoyed watching the Bears play, reading Stephen King books and crosswords puzzles.

Cremation was accorded and there will be a celebration of life at a later date.
