Betty J. Ball, 89, of Kewanee, died Friday, October 27, 2023, at OSF St. Luke’s Medical Center, Kewanee. Betty was born February 2, 1934, in Kewanee, the daughter of Harry Myrle and Florence Ida (Bell) Anderson. Betty attended Wethersfield Schools. She married Donald F. Jenkins in August 1950. She later married Adrian E. Ball on August 2, 1967; he preceded her in death on August 7, 2009.

Betty is survived by six children, Patricia (LeRoy) Jenkins-Mahr, Hanna City, IL, Douglas Jenkins, Lacon, IL, Randy (Kathy) Jenkins, Kewanee, Jayne (Chuck) Jenkins-McDaniel, Eldridge, IA, Anne Ball-Heisel, Davenport, IA, stepson, Terry (Lucinda) Ball, Troy, IL; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband; Adrian; stepson, Jeff Ball; brother, Bill Anderson; sister, Marilyn Anderson; daughter-in-law, Cathie DeSmit-Jenkins; and a son-in-law, Bill Heisel.

Betty was a homemaker, and a seamstress. Betty had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed her flower garden, quilting, and baking. Betty also enjoyed bowling and playing cards, especially Canasta. She was very involved at the First Baptist Church, working with the Cookie Walk, the Funeral Committee, and multiple other activities.

Visitation will be from 9:00 – 10:30 am, Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the First Baptist Church. Memorial services will be at 10:30 am, Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the church. Pastor Randy Hroziencik will officiate. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Henry County Humane Society, Kewanee or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
