Barbara L. Winans, nee Mercer, age 90, formerly of Skokie and Kewanee, IL, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Endeavor Health Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. Devoted daughter of the late Willam and Lorene, nee Hill, Mercer, she was born July 23, 1934, in Neponset, IL.

Beloved wife of the Leonard M.; dear mother of Mark (Christin), Dave (Nancy), and the late Michael Winans and Pam (John) Lodal; loving grandmother of Colleen (Adam) Bruhn, Tim (Katy) Winans, Alexandria (Sam) Muir, Geoff (Christine) Lodal, Jessica ( Chris) Keating and Christopher and Nick Winans; cherished great-grandmother of Cash, Maeve, Addie, Rylie, Noah, Nora, Emma, and Sadie; fond sister of Mary Wallace and the late Roger, Ruth, and Bill Mercer.

Barbara Lived most of her life in Skokie but spent many years in Kewanee. A registered nurse, she volunteered for many organizations, including P.E.O. the Kewanee Senior Center, and her church. Barbara will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial Gathering, Saturday February 1, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until time of the Memorial Service at noon, at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.

Urn Interment, Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Henry County Senior Center, 200 E. South Street, Kewanee.
