Obituary For Alexander Joseph Screeton

Alexander Joseph Screeton, 38, of San Marcos, Texas, formerly of Kewanee, Illinois, passed away on March 13, 2025. He was born on October 18, 1986, in Monterey, California, to Steven Screeton and Lana (Duncan) Screeton.

Alex is survived by his immediate family; parents Steven & Lana and his sister, Andrea (Screeton) Goble, Brother in-law Chase Goble, nephew Townes Goble, and niece Everly Goble.

A gifted and passionate musician, Alex’s love for recording music and his talent as a guitarist were central to his life. He found great joy and fulfillment in expressing himself through music, which reflected his creativity, passion, and soul.

In addition to his musical pursuits, Alex had a deep love for animals. His kindness and compassion extended to all living creatures, and he was always an advocate for the well-being of animals.

Alex will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His memory will live on through his music and the positive impact he had on those around him.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter. Donations can be made online here: https://sanmarcostx.gov/256/Donate-to-the-Shelter.

Yeah, it's tough to hear of the loss of a childhood friend. I hope he had peace in the final moments/days of his life. And I pop in here and see another childhood "associate....Mark Talbot Jr.... From Irving? Wild to see your name after.... 28 years or so? Not sure you'll see this and can't seem to find you anywhere

Alex, I had just talked to you a couple weeks ago. Buddy I want to let you know that you are loved. My childhood would not have been the same without you. The countless times I spent the night at your house in Kewanee and vice versa. The time your parents took us to Six Flags. I still have your house telephone number memorized from calling you when we were in grade school. I'm going to miss those times my man. I love you and hope you are at peace. You're friend, Mark Talbot Jr
