A minor fire led to fire trucks being dispatched to Wood’zs tavern at Eight and Walnut, but there was little damage.
In fact, a fire department spokesman said Monday, people at the tavern had put the “small fire in a window sill” out with a fire extinguisher by the time the fire department arrived.
The firefighters remained on the scene long enough to make sure the fire didn’t spread.
The tavern was open as usual on Sunday afternoon.
