As the month of October creeps to a close, the Halloween spirit is in full swing. From candy-filled events for little ghouls and goblins to a spooktacular costume bash just for adults, there’s no shortage of frightful fun on the horizon.

Friday, Oct. 24
Peoples National Bank Trick-or-Treat from 3-4:30 p.m. at their downtown Kewanee lobby
Saturday, Oct. 25
Good’s Trunk-or-Treat from 3 – 5 p.m. at Good’s parking lot will feature creatively decorated vehicles that are ready to hand out Halloween treats and candy to everyone in attendance.
Galva Pumpkin Carving or Painting from noon to 2 p.m. at Wiley Park in Galva
Galva Kiwanis Trunk-of-Treat and Costume Contest will also feature a pumpkin carving and painting from 2-4 p.m. Galva City Hall 311 NW 4th Ave. Contest winner announced at 3 p.m.
First Baptist Church of Galva Trunk-or-Treat at 2 p.m. 211 NW 4th Ave. in Galva
Wednesday, Oct. 29
Central Builders Club Halloween Carnival at the Central Steamer Gym from 4-6 p.m. For small children up to third grade. The carnival will have games, BINGO and prizes with free admission.
Black Hawk College Trick-or-Treat Trail from 5-7 p.m. at Black Hawk East Campus features numerous trick or treat stops hosted by BHC staff and students. The event is free and open to young children up through sixth grade.
Arcadia Trunk-or-Treat Adventures from 5-7 p.m. at the spooktacular Kewanee Arcadia stops of Avenue of Royal-Oaks 605 E. Church St, Arcadia at Kewanee-144 S. Junior Ave. and Villas-Kewanee 860 Sunset Dr.
Flemish Club Fifth Annual Halloween Party at 6:30 p.m. 313 N. Burr. Cash prizes for best costumes, free drink with entry in the contest and a 50/50 raffle for the restoration of their neon windmill sign
