Be the lucky winner of the Galva Levitt AMP concert series guitar and amplifier.
The brand-new Apple Red Stadium StratStyle electric guitar comes complete with the shoulder strap and PV Back Stage practice amp.
Donated by Scott and Barb Caravello, the instrument is great for beginners.
“I’ve seen children as young as five years old learn to play this guitar,” says Caravello. “It’s a great one for those just starting to learn to play.”
Caravello, a retired pharmacist and experienced musician himself, was happy when he came across the guitar and amp earlier this year.
“I have always supported the Levitt AMP concerts and thought this was a good way to help the group raise some funds.”
He explained, “My wife and I have always supported Galva activities, and after the pharmacy closed last year, I felt this was a good way to continue being a part of the community.” The guitar and amp are currently displayed in the former pharmacy window.
Concerts begin at 6 p.m., and bringing lawn chairs or blankets is recommended for the audience. There is a covered pavilion for wheelchair users near the stage and numerous food trucks and other vendors in the park.
Easily identified Levitt AMP volunteers will be walking around with tickets during the concert.
Tickets for the chance to win can be purchased at any Levitt AMP Sunday concert in Galva’s Wiley Park. They are $1 each or six for $5. The final concert will be on Sunday, August 3, with the winner announced then.
