
The League of Women Voters of the Kewanee Area will partner with WKEI radio in Kewanee to hold a candidates forum on Wednesday, March 19 at 7 p.m.
Candidates for the competitive races of Kewanee City Council, Wethersfield School Board, Black Hawk College Board of Trustees and Kewanee Township Trustee are invited to the forum, to be held in the council chambers at Kewanee City Hall chamber, 401 E. Third St.
This forum is open to the public and will follow a strict format. The candidates will make an opening statement, followed by questions from the LWV moderator and audience, and a closing statement.
The candidates are invited to stay afterwards to mingle with the audience and refreshments will be provided.
The public is invited to participate by mailing questions to Carla Hillman, 408 S. Tremont St., Kewanee. The questions will be answered by all candidates unless specified to an individual or individuals.
This submission must be signed by the questioner.
The League reserves the right to determine if a question is appropriate, and to edit and combine questions.

The other races on the ballot in Kewanee which are noncompetitive are Kewanee Public Library Board; Kewanee Park District Commissioners; Kewanee School Board; Kewanee and Wethersfield Township Supervisor, Clerk, Road Commissioner, and Assessor; Wethersfield Township Trustee; and the Regional Board of School Trustees.
