Kewanee weekend police blotter for Sept. 20-22

Friday:

Police responded to a report of criminal trespass to real property in the 100 block of West South Street.

Herman Brown, 56, Kewanee, was arrested for a violation of order of protection following a complaint in the 1100 block of Lake Street. He was transported to the Henry County Jail.

Police responded to a report of theft under $500 in the 800 block of West Prospect Street.

A damage-only traffic accident involving vehicles operated by Karen Lindquist, 77, Toulon, and Robert Carroll, 76, Wyoming, was reported in the 100 block of West South Street. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.

An animal at large was impounded in the 400 block of South Tremont Street.

Police responded to a report of a residential burglary in the 900 block of Wilbur Street.

Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of North Boss Street.

Saturday:

An animal at large was impounded in the 200 block of Beach Street South.

Chad D. Leverette, 49, Kewanee, was arrested for criminal trespass to state-supported-land following a report of a suspicious person in the 200 block of Community Square. He was given a notice to appear.

Police responded to a report of animal abuse and neglect in the 700 block of Tenney Street.

Donald D. Ainley, 41, Kewanee, was arrested for domestic battery after a police follow-up in the 200 block of North Boss Street. He was transported to the Henry County Jail.

Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of Fairview Junction.

A damage-only traffic accident involving a vehicle operated by Suenjae K. Ostrowski, 64, Kewanee, that struck a parked and unattended vehicle owned by James and Bonnie Welch, was reported in the 100 block of West Third Street. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.

Police responded to a report of retail theft in the 800 block of Tenney Street.

Police responded to a report of identity theft in the 700 block of Tenney Street.

Police responded to a report of a dog bite in the 800 block of Rockwell Street.

Jacob M. Dearing, 25, Kewanee, was arrested for obstructing a peace officer following a report of a disturbance, fights-riots-brawls at Acorn and Pine streets. He was given a notice to appear. Lakena D. Jones, 25, Kewanee, was arrested for obstructing a peace and a valid Rock Island warrant for failure to appear for driving while license is suspended. She was transported to the Henry County Jail.

Kari E. Vanstechleman, 41, Kewanee, was issued a notice to appear for theft following a police follow up in the 300 block of Tenney Street.

Sunday:

A traffic accident was reported at East and McClure streets.
Police assisted a citizen in the 100 block of Fairview Junction.
A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 29000 block of North 450 Avenue.

Police dispersed a group in the 700 block of Tenney Street.

Police assisted a citizen in the 400 block of East Third Street.

Bill J. Hargis, 40, was arrested for a violation of an order of protection after police received a complaint of a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of Elliot Street. He was transported to the Henry County Jail.
