Kewanee weekend police blotter for Dec. 13-15

Friday:

Police issued a written warning following a traffic stop in the 1000 block of West South Street.

A damage-only traffic accident involving vehicles driven by Jocolyn C. Little, 22, Kewanee, and Jack A. Calhoun, 57, Kewanee, was reported at Division and Main streets. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.

An animal at large was reported in the 200 block of East Seventh Street.

Police responded to a report of criminal trespass to state supported land in the 200 block of Community Square.

Police responded to a report of domestic battery in the 700 block of Tenney Street.

Police responded to a report of theft in the 500 block of East Fifth Street.

Police responded to a report of animal abuse and neglect in the 600 block of Cole Street.

Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct, telephone harassment in the 200 block of Whitney Avenue.

Matthew W. Swearingen, 39, Kewanee, was arrested for violation of custody order following a report of criminal damage to property in the 500 block of North Tremont Street. He was given a notice to appear. Desiree M. Ryder, 41, Kewanee, was arrested for criminal damage to property. She was given a notice to appear.

An animal was impounded in the 300 block of Rainbow Way.

Richard C. Bennett, 46, Kewanee, was arrested for domestic battery following a report of a domestic disturbance in the 600 block of South Tremont Street. He was transported to the Henry County Jail.

A written warning was issued following a traffic stop in the 700 block of East Second Street.

Saturday:

Police issued a written warning following a traffic stop at Henry Street and Roosevelt Avenue.

A written warning was issued following a traffic stop on the S Curve.

Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct, disturbing another’s peace in the 600 block of Willow Street.

A report of disorderly conduct, disturbing another’s peace was made in the 400 block of East Third Street.

An animal was impounded at Fairview Homes.

Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 600 block of Cole Street.

Police responded to a report of a disturbance, neighborhood trouble in the 100 block of Fairview Junction.

Domestic battery was reported in the 600 block of Cole Street.

Sunday:

Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct, disturbing another’s peace in the 200 block of Payson Street.

Police responded to a report of criminal damage to property in the 100 block of Payson Street.

Tyron W. Gordon, 24, Kewanee, was issued citations for operating an uninsured vehicle, no registration, and no valid driver’s license following a traffic stop at Fifth and East streets. He was given a notice to appear.
