Kewanee police blotter for Oct. 8

Police issued a written warning following a traffic stop in the 300 block of Tenney Street.

A vehicle driven by a 17-year-old male, Kewanee, struck a pole following a report of a traffic accident in the 700 block of South Main Street. No injuries were reported. He was cited for improper lane usage and given a notice to appear.

Police responded to a report of identity theft in the 600 block of West First Street.

A damage-only traffic accident involving a vehicle driven by Demario R. Brooms, 47, that struck a parked vehicle owned by Jacob R. Jordan, 25, Galva, was reported at Fairview Homes. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.

Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of South Main Street.

Police responded to a report of criminal damage to property in the 200 block of Community Square.

An animal at large was reported in the 1000 block of Western Avenue.

Police issued a written warning following a traffic stop at Central Boulevard and Walnut Street.

Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct, disturbing another’s peace in the 200 block of Mosher Avenue.

A domestic disturbance was reported in the 800 block of Prairie Avenue.

Police responded to a report of a hit and run accident in the 700 block of Tenney Street.

A written warning was issued following a a traffic stop in the 100 block of East Third Street.

John K. Murray, 18, Kewanee, was arrested for possession of adult-use cannabis in a motor vehicle and speeding (40/30) following a traffic stop at Central Boulevard and Main Street. He was given a notice to appear.
