Kewanee police blotter for Jan. 15-16

Monday:

An animal was impounded in the 400 block of Elliott Street.

Police issued a verbal warning following a traffic stop at Cottage and Prospect streets.

Devante J. Trim, 28, Kewanee, was arrested for driving while license suspended following a traffic stop in the 300 block of South Main Street. He was given a notice to appear.

A damage-only traffic accident was reported in the 700 block of East Second Street.

Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct, telephone harassment in the 400 block of Rice Street.

Police responded to a report of a building burglary in the 1600 block of Lake Street.

Tuesday:

Police responded to a report of a suspicious person in the 100 block of North Main Street.

Police responded to a report of theft from a motor vehicle in the 500 block of Tenney Street.

Police responded to a report of animal abuse and neglect in the 600 block of Odea Street.

A damage-only traffic accident was reported involving a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old male that struck a fire hydrant. No injuries were reported. The 17-year-old male was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and given a notice to appear.

Police responded to a report of battery in the 600 block of East Church Street.

Police responded to a report of motor vehicle theft in the 200 block of North Jackson Street.

Police issued a written warning following a traffic stop at Chestnut and Division streets.

Police responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 200 block of West Third Street.
