The Kewanee Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution announced the organization’s Good Citizens Award recipients, which are given out to high school seniors who attend Galva, Kewanee, Wethersfield and Stark County school districts.
This year’s recipients of the award are Lillian Wigant, Galva, Alejandro Duarte, Kewanee, Lauren Best, Stark County, and Leah Franklin from Wethersfield.
The award is given to local high school students who display qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism.
The four students will be honored at a George Washington Tea to be held on Feb. 16, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Kewanee.
