Thousands lined the streets of Kewanee on Saturday, Aug. 31, to cheer on more than 80 entries in the annual Hog Days Parade.
Under perfect late-summer skies, families soaked up the sunshine while kids collected candy tossed by walkers alongside floats and classic cars.
This year’s parade awards went to:
Ambassador’s Cup: Peoples National Bank
Sweepstakes Award: State Bank of Toulon
Commercial Award: Cookie’s Gaming Parlor
Not-for-Profit Award: Kewanee Hispanic Heritage Committee
Most Original: Sullivan’s Foods
