Angelo D’Andrea, 87, Galva, was arrested for operating an uninsured vehicle with a canceled driver’s license and improper lane usage following a traffic stop in the 800 block of North Center Avenue. His vehicle was towed, and he was released with a required court date.
Police were notified about a vehicle repossession occurring at Sentry Estates. The vehicle was recovered without incident.
Police and fire departments and Stark County Medic were dispatched to a single-vehicle accident with minor injuries south and east of town. An officer stood by until Knox County arrived to handle the crash report.
Nov. 12:
Police and the fire department responded to a report of a house filled with smoke in the 500 block of NW 4th Street.
Police responded to an out-of-control juvenile complaint at a residence on NW 7th Avenue. The juvenile was very uncooperative and began making suicidal and homicidal comments to the officer. The juvenile was taken by ambulance for evaluation and treatment.
Police responded to a verbal domestic disturbance in the 900 block of West Division Street. It was determined to be a subject having a mental health crisis.
Jonathan Kohler, 27, Galesburg, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for mandatory insurance following a traffic stop in the 100 block of SW 9th Avenue. He was released with a required court date.
Police responded to a complaint involving a pickup truck losing multiple tree branches on Route 34 just east of town. The officer removed several branches but did not locate the suspect vehicle.
Police responded to a disturbance complaint in the 00 block of SW 4th Street. The offender appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
Police responded to several 9-1-1 open line calls in the 300 block of SW 3rd Street. The caller appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis and denied needing police, fire, or EMS.
Kevin Shook, 54, Kewanee, was issued a citation for having expired registration in the 200 block of South Center Avenue.
Nov. 13:
Police and fire departments and Stark County Medic responded to a single-vehicle accident with unknown injuries on Route 34 about one mile east of town. Henry County also responded and handled the crash report.
Police responded to a disturbance complaint in the 00 block of SW 4th Street. The officer did not hear or see anything upon his arrival. This complaint was unfounded.
Police responded to two 9-1-1 hang-up calls in the 200 block of Exchange Street. They were determined to be misdials.
Billie Malesker, 49, Little York, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for mandatory insurance following a traffic stop in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street. She was released with a required court date.

Police responded to a request to check for an overdue motorist after his vehicle broke down somewhere between Galva and Silvis. The subject was later located at a local motel.
Police responded to a complaint of a group of juveniles fighting in the 200 block of NW 4th Avenue. The group was dispersed.
Nov. 14:
Police responded to a verbal domestic disturbance in the 900 block of West Division Street. It was determined to be a subject having a mental health crisis.
Police met with a resident about a theft/forgery complaint in the 200 block of SW 2nd Avenue. After investigating, it was learned the crime likely occurred in Princeton. The complainant was advised to contact the authorities there for a report.
Adam Phillips, 27, East Moline, and Hanna Breuwet, 26, Rock Island, were each issued an administrative warning ticket (AWT) for soliciting without a permit after police saw the two going door-to-door and verified that they had not obtained a permit.
Brandi York, 30, Galva, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for mandatory insurance following a traffic stop in the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street. She was released with a required court date.
Police responded to a loose dog complaint in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street. The officer was not able to locate the animal.
Nov. 15:
Police assisted a citizen who had a cat stuck under the hood of her vehicle in the 00 block of SE 3rd Street.
Police met with a resident about a traffic complaint in the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street. The incident occurred near Galesburg on Route 34. The complainant was referred to Knox County.
Police responded to a loose and vicious dog complaint in the 100 block of NE 5th Street. The neighbor’s dog had dug under its fence to escape. The animal was returned home.
Police checked the welfare of a subject who had caused a scene at a child exchange in Altona at a residence on SW 10th Avenue. The subject was located and said they were fine.
Police responded to a report of a suicidal subject who had reportedly threatened themselves with a knife on SW 4th Street. The complaint was unfounded.
Police responded to a request to watch for an intoxicated and non-valid driver who was traveling between Kewanee and Galva at the east edge of town. The suspect was not located.
Jevante Powe, 35, Galva, was arrested for driving while license suspended and operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance following a traffic stop in the 200 block of NW 8th Avenue. He was taken to the Galva Police Department for processing and later released with a required court date.
Police responded to a complaint involving possible tampering with an anhydrous tank in the 1200 block of SE 2nd Street.
Krystle Miller, 39, Galesburg, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1200 block of SE 2nd Street.
November 16
Police assisted Henry County with delivering a message to a vehicle owner in the 300 block of NW 1st Street after their vehicle was found abandoned near Kewanee.
Police responded to several 9-1-1 calls that were plotted in the 100 block of Exchange Street. A subject was found there and was suffering from a mental health crisis. The subject was transported by ambulance for treatment/evaluation.
Police responded to a disturbance complaint in the 00 block of SW 4th Street.
Police responded to a suspicious noise complaint in the 300 block of SE 6th Street. The officer checked the residence, and nobody was found.
Nov. 17:
Police responded to a traffic complaint in the 00 block of SW 2nd Street. The officer was not able to locate the suspect vehicle.
Police assisted a citizen in the 400 block of SE 4th Avenue.
Police responded to a verbal disturbance in the 00 block of SW 4th Street.
