June 2:

Police assisted Henry County with a physical domestic disturbance at a rural address on South County Road.

Police spoke to a resident about a city ordinance regarding furniture left in a yard in the 100 block of SE 2nd Avenue.

Police spoke to a resident about a city ordinance violation regarding a disabled and abandoned vehicle parked in the yard in the 800 block of NE 3rd Avenue.

Police responded to an ongoing reckless driving complaint involving speeders in the 500 block of NW 5th Street.

Police responded to a complaint about juveniles knocking on doors and running away in the 00 block of SE 2nd Avenue.

June 3:

Police responded to a 9-1-1 hang-up in the 200 block of NW 2nd Avenue. The officer was not able to locate anyone who needed assistance.

Police responded to a child custody exchange in the 200 block of NW 4th Street.

Police responded to a 9-1-1 hang-up in the 600 block of South Center Avenue. It was determined to be a misdial.

Police assisted a citizen having phone difficulties in the 500 block of NE 2nd Street.

Police checked an open door at a residence in the 300 block of NW 3rd Avenue. Nobody was around. The door was secured.

Police assisted Henry County with a vehicle pursuit a couple of miles north of town. The offender was arrested by Henry County a short time later.

Police responded to a report of a tree limb falling on several utility wires in the 700 block of NW 1st Street.

June 4:

Samuel Busick, 29, Towanda, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle following a traffic stop in the 200 block of NW 4th Avenue. He was released with a required court date.

Police responded to a neighbor dispute in the 300 block of NW 1st Street.

Police and Stark County Medic responded to a report of a suicidal subject at a residence on NE 4th Avenue. The subject was located and transported for evaluation/treatment.

Police responded to a 9-1-1 open line call in the 1300 block of SE 2nd Street. The officer could not locate anyone needing assistance.

Nicholas Dillworth, 33, Robinson, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for mandatory insurance following a traffic stop in the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street. He was released with a required court date.

Police were notified about a vehicle repossession taking place in the 300 block of SW 6th Avenue.

June 5:

Police assisted the black hawk area task force with a search warrant at a residence on West Division Street.

Police responded to an ongoing neighbor dispute in the 300 block of NW 1st Street.

While patrolling, police located two shopping carts that belonged to a local business along the roadway in the 300 block of SW 4th Street. The officer walked the carts back to the business and returned them.

Police responded to a report of a loose and aggressive pit bull in the 600 block of NW 1st Street. The officer spoke to the owner, who advised that their child let the dog out. They were warned about the Illinois leash laws.

Police responded to a report of a disabled vehicle on Route 34 just east of town. The vehicle was able to be moved off the roadway.

Police and Stark County Medic responded to a subject threatening suicide at a residence on West Division Street. They were transported for evaluation/treatment.

June 6:

Police responded to a complaint of a male subject screaming in the 300 block of Commercial Street. The subject was located and appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.

Police, along with emergency vehicles, participated in the touch-a-truck program at the Learning Connections Daycare Center.

Police responded to an illegal burning complaint in the 300 block of NE 1st Street. The resident extinguished the fire after being educated on the city ordinance about burning regulations.

Police responded to an activated panic alarm in the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street. It was determined to be a false alarm.

Police assisted a citizen in the 00 block of NE 4th Street. The subject appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.

Police responded to an illegal fireworks complaint in the 400 block of SE 7th Avenue. The officer was not able to locate any issues.

Police responded to a loud noise complaint in the 200 block of NE 3rd Street. The officer did not locate anyone.

Steven Ewing, 73, Lafayette, was issued a citation for illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver in the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street.

June 7:

Police responded to an activated panic alarm in the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street. It was a false alarm.

Police responded to an activated fire alarm in the 300 block of NW 4th Avenue. It was
determined to be an accidental activation.

Police responded to a vehicle parked in an alleyway in the 200 block of SE 4th Avenue. The vehicle was moved.

Andrea Lodato, 32, Galva, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle following a traffic stop in the 800 block of SE 2nd Street. She was released with a required court date.

Police responded to a complaint about young juveniles riding bicycles and not watching out for motor traffic in the 200 block of South Exchange Street. The officer was not able to locate them.

Police responded two more times to assist a citizen who was suffering from a mental health crisis in the 00 block of NE 4th Street.

Police conducted a welfare check at a residence on NE 4th Avenue.

June 8:

Police responded to an activated panic alarm in the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street. It was a false alarm.

Police responded to an open-door complaint in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street. The door was secured.

Jamie Howard, 36, Galva, was arrested on a Knox County warrant for failing to appear on several traffic charges following police response to a complaint about an open door on a vehicle in the 200 block of SW 4th Street. During the response, police determined that one of the subjects, Howard, had a warrant for failing to appear on several traffic charges. She was taken to Henry County Jail.

Police responded to a report of a hitchhiker walking in the roadway on Route 34 just west of town.

Police responded to a complaint of a young juvenile who wandered onto the complainant’s property in the 400 block of SW 7th Street. A parent arrived within minutes, looking for the child.

Police responded to a complaint about juveniles harassing each other in the 100 block of SW 5th Street.

Police responded to a complaint about juveniles harassing each other in the 100 block of SE 2nd Street.
