Galva police report for Jan. 20-26

Jan. 20:

Police delivered a message to a residence in the 100 block of NE 9th Street.

Police spoke to a complainant about an incident yesterday in the 100 block of SE 6th Avenue.

Police assisted the ambulance with a medical emergency in the 1000 block of North Center Avenue.

Jan. 21:

Police, the Fire Department, and the ambulance responded to a reported structure fire in the 300 block of Front Street. The cause was determined to be a faulty microwave.

Police met with a resident to renew their yearly sex offender registration. A copy was emailed to Henry County for the LEADS entry.

Jan. 22:

Police responded to a two-vehicle accident with damage only in the 1000 block of North Center Avenue. A crash report was completed.

Police met with a subject who wanted to get a vehicle out of the impound lot. The vehicle was released.

Police responded to a report of inappropriate text messages that were received at a residence on NE 4th Street.

Jan. 23:

Police responded to a telephone threat complaint in the 900 block of North Center Avenue.

Police responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint in the 00 block of SW 2nd Street. The subject was waiting for a friend.

Christopher Wehr, 39, Taft, Calif., was arrested for not having a valid driver’s license and operating an uninsured vehicle following a traffic stop in the 600 block of South Center Avenue. He was released with a required court date.

Jan: 24:

Police responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle in the 200 block of South Exchange Street.

Police noticed pieces of metal in the roadway while patrolling in the 1000 block of North Center Avenue. The items were moved from the roadway.

Police assisted a citizen in the 300 block of NW 4th Avenue.

Police responded to a physical disturbance in the 00 block of NE 5th Street.

Jan. 25:

Police assisted a subject having a mental health crisis in the 700 block of NW 4th Street.

Police assisted a motorist whose vehicle had stalled in the 00 block of SW 2nd Street. The vehicle was pushed off the roadway.

Cole Marty, 37, Galesburg, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1100 block of SE 2nd Street.

Michelle Corsaro, 41, Monmouth, was issued a citation for speeding in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street.

Idalia Duran, 42, Kewanee, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1100 block of SE 2nd Street.

Jan. 26:

Police responded to a child custody dispute in the 100 block of NW 2nd Avenue.

Police assisted a motorist in the 100 block of Market Street.

Police responded to a domestic dispute in the 00 block of NE 4th Avenue. This complaint was unfounded.

Paul Knobloch, 59, Wyoming, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1100 block of SE 2nd Street.
