Aug. 26:
An officer responded to a 9-1-1 hang up call that was plotted in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street. The officer was not able to locate anyone needing assistance.
An officer responded to a complaint about two dogs running loose in the 300 block of SW 3rd Avenue. The owner was located and took the dogs back home.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SE 3 rd Ave for a low speed vehicle inspection. The vehicle was an ATV and did not fit the criteria. The permit was denied.

Aug. 27:
An officer was dispatched to the 900 block of SE 2nd Street to assist a motorist that locked their keys and young child in a vehicle. Tarleton’s were called and were able to quickly get the vehicle unlocked.
Police were notified about a vehicle repossession that was taking place in the 400 block of NW 9th Street.
An officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 2nd Street for an identity theft complaint.
Anabelle Twomey, 24, Galva, was arrested for driving while license suspended and possession of adult-use cannabis in a motor vehicle following a traffic stop in the 800 block of NE 3rd Street. She was released with a required court date.
Aug. 28:
An officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Exchange Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was determined to be a misdial.
An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Front Street for a complaint involving harassing phone calls/text messages.
An officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 4th Street for a complaint involving a suspicious person dressed in dark clothing and carrying milk jugs. The officer checked the area but was not able to locate the subject.

An officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4th Street to assist a citizen who appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.

An officer met a complainant at the Galva PD in reference to a disturbance that occurred just east of town on Route 34.

An officer was dispatched to the east edge of town to watch for a reckless driver coming towards Galva. The officer located the suspect vehicle but did not observe any violations to justify a traffic stop.

Aug. 31:
An officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SW 7th Street to retrieve a debit card that had been found by a resident.

Patrick Hammons, 69, Galva, was arrested for driving while license is suspended, operating an uninsured vehicle and improper lane usage following a traffic stop in the 600 block of SW 4th Avenue. He was released with a required court date.
