Two men were arrested Thursday afternoon when 163 pounds of marijuana were reportedly found in their vehicle after an Interstate 80 traffic stop.
According to a news release from the Henry County Sheriff’s Department, Rodrigo Hernandez-Hernandez and Armando Ramirez-Tolentino were both arrested for possession of cannabis over 5,000 grams, possession with intent to deliver over 5,000 grams and cannabis trafficking. All the charges are felonies. The report did not indicate where the two live.
The two were arrested after a Henry County deputy pulled over a vehicle that reportedly was speeding and following other vehicles too closely. The traffic stop was at mile marker 18 on I-80 in western Henry County.
The arrests were made after the Geneseo Police Department’s K9 officer, Kauzi, conducted a free-air sniff alert and alerted to the vehicle, the news release said.
