The Kewanee DAR Chapter 5‑064IL hosted its annual George Washington Tea at the First United Methodist Church, recognizing this year’s local recipients of the DAR Good Citizens Program.
Each honoree was selected by their respective high school for exemplifying the program’s core qualities: dependability, service, leadership and patriotism.
This year’s recognized students were Hailey Allen of Stark County High School, Taylor VanWinkle of Kewanee High School and Addison Looney of Wethersfield High School. Allison Nordstrom of Galva High School was also selected but unable to attend.
The event celebrated the students’ achievements and the positive impact they make within their schools and communities.
