The Rotary Club of Galva will be hosting a Trivia Night this Saturday, June 22, at the Kewanee Elks Lodge to raise funds for the materials to build a new fence for the Bishop Hill Park. The doors will open at 6 p.m. with the trivia starting at 6:30 p.m.
“The Rotary Club of Galva has entered an agreement with the IDNR to replace the currently damaged and in some cases missing fence around the park,” said Tim Black, president-elect of the club. “The community park is the centerpiece of the historic village and often makes a first impression to visitors.”
Although the work on the fence is being done by volunteers, money still needs to be raised for the cost of the materials. In addition to the trivia night, the Rotary Club of Galva has a GoFundMe page.
“The page is doing very well so far, and we appreciate the support we have received from the area,” said Black.

There is still time to get a team together, or if you don’t have a team, there will be a table for non-affiliated participants. Teams can consist of eight to 10 members at a cost of $100 per table. Players can bring their own snacks and may purchase beverages at the Elks Club.
If you are interested in registering your team, you can contact Rachel at (309) 337-4849 or at Rachel@massielaw.net.
