An Atkinson woman was killed early Tuesday morning in a single-car accident on Route 6 east of Geneseo.
Julia Birman, 35, of Atkinson, was pronounced dead at the accident scene on Route 6 and 1825 East.
According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Department, her vehicle left the road, ran into a ditch and struck a tree.
The Geneseo Fire and Ambulance Services, Geneseo Police Department and the Henry County Coroner’s Office assisted at the scene.
