Wethersfield Jr./Sr. High School art students recently attended the LTC Art Show at Knox College, presenting their work alongside students from other schools in the district.

Painting both in oil and acrylic was one category for the art show.

The annual event, typically held at Monmouth College, took place at Knox College this year. The venue provided a gallery space for student artwork, as well as areas for workshops and a buffet-style dinner for participants. Judges Madeline Haven and another guest judge evaluated entries across multiple categories.

The show featured a variety of categories, including pencil and ink, scratch art, charcoal and oils, painting and watercolor, ceramics and sculpture, mixed media and digital art, textiles and collage, and Blick Art poster design.

Students also had the opportunity to participate in workshops such as collage, needle felting, printmaking and landscaping.

Layne Seiden and Joey Drawyer received honorable mentions in pencil portrait/figure and pen and ink.

In total, Wethersfield students brought home eight ribbons.
