Galva police report for Nov. 24-30

Nov. 24:

Police responded to a 9-1-1 hang up in the 800 block of SE 1st Street. It was determined to be a misdial.

Police responded to an identity theft complaint in the 500 block of NW 5th Avenue.

Police, along with the Stark County Medic and the fire department, were dispatched to a medical emergency in the 200 block of Morgan Road.

Police assisted a citizen at the Galva Police Department.

Police responded to a two-vehicle accident with damage-only in the 00 block of SW 4th Street. A crash report was completed.

Police checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of SE 8th Avenue.

A welfare check was conducted at a residence on NW 7th Avenue. The subject was fine.

Police served a written banning letter on a subject in the 100 block of SE 6th Avenue after a disturbance last week.

Nov. 25:

Police responded to a loud music complaint in the 00 block of SW 4th Street.

Police responded to a suspicious person complaint in the 00 block of SW 2nd Street. The officer was unable to locate the subject.

Police responded to a disorderly conduct complaint in the 00 block of SW 4th Street.

Police conducted a welfare check on a suicidal subject at a residence on NW 5th Avenue. There was no answer at the door.

A citizen was assisted in the 300 block of SW 3rd Street.

Nov. 26:

Police responded to a utility wire complaint in the 00 block of NE 3rd Street. Mediacom was notified for repairs.

Police assisted a citizen suffering from a mental health crisis in the 700 block of NW 4th Street.

Police responded to a child custody exchange in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street.

Police responded again to a child custody case in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street.

Police responded to an activated burglary alarm in the 200 block of SW 2nd Avenue. It was a false alarm.

Police responded to a utilities complaint involving a leaking fire hydrant in Veterans Memorial Park. The Galva Water Department was contacted.

Police assisted ambulance personnel with a male subject who had collapsed on SE 2nd Street.

Nov. 27:

A citizen was assisted in the 100 block of NE 9th Street.

Nov. 28:

Police assisted a citizen suffering from a mental health crisis in the 700 block of NW 4th Street.

Police responded to a burning complaint in the 700 block of NW 1st Avenue. The subject was advised to put out the fire as it was not a burn day.

Police responded to a 9-1-1 open line call in the 400 block of NW 11th Street. It was determined to be a misdial.

Police responded to a disabled vehicle near the intersection of James B. Young Road and North Center Avenue.

Police responded to a loose dog complaint in the 400 block of SE 6th Avenue. The animal was returned to its owner.

Police, along with Stark County Medic, were dispatched to a medical emergency near the Galva Cemetery.

Caleste Bricker, 23, Galva, was issued two citations for failure to properly secure children in a safety restraint in the 600 block of South Center Ave.

A welfare check was conducted at a residence on SW 4th Street. The subject was fine.

Police responded to a loud music complaint in the 00 block of SW 4th Street.

A welfare check was conducted at a residence on SW 4th Street. The subject was fine.

While patrolling, police saw a motorist stuck near the end of a driveway in the 500 block of SE 2nd Street. The officer was able to assist the motorist.
