Who’s on the ballot and where to vote in Tuesday’s election

Local voters will have some choices to make when they go to the polls in Tuesday’s election.

— The most-contested race is for City Council, where five candidates are running for two seats.

Incumbents Steve Faber and Tyrone Baker are being challenged by Adam Cernovich, Obrey Blumenshine and William “Scott” Withrow.

— In Kewanee Township, five candidates are running for four supervisor positions. On the ballot are Democrats John M. Sovanski, Ted Sturtevant and Tom Kazubowski, and Republicans Mark S. Ouart and Chris DeVenney.

— For Wethersfield School Board, in the incorporated area of the district, incumbents Paula Jo Baker and Stephen P. Newman are joined on the ballot by Andrew Verstraete. The top two vote-getters will be elected.

— Kewaneean Jon Looney is one of four candidates seeking two seats on the Black Hawk College Board of Trustees. The other candidates are incumbent Douglas Strand, Mark Carlson and Dougal Nelson.

— Five candidates are running for four seats as Kewanee Township trustees: Democrats John M. Sovanski, Ted Sturtevant and Tom Kazubowski, and Republicans Mark S. Ouart and Chris DeVenney.

Precinct 1 — Black Hawk College Outreach Center, 404 E. Third St.

Precinct 2 — Holy Trinity Polish Catholic Church, 712 N. Tremont St.

Precinct 3 — Holy Trinity Polish Catholic Church

Precinct 4 — Elks Lodge, 113 1/2 N. Tremont St.

Precinct 5 — Flemish American Club, 313 N. Burr Blvd.

Precinct 6 — Fairview Community Building, 238 Community Square

Precinct 7 — Elks Lodge

Precinct 8 — First United Methodist Church, 108 E. Central Blvd.

Precinct 9 — Fairview Community Building

Precinct 10 — First United Methodist Church

Precinct 11 — BHC Outreach Center

Polling places in Wethersfield Township are:

Precincts 1, 2 and 4 — First Christian Church, 105 Dwight St.

Precinct 3 — Township hall, 328 Tenney St.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
