Last week, more than 80 junior high students took part in the Women in Manufacturing Summit held at Black Hawk College on Friday, March 6.

This year marked the fourth year for the event with students attending were from three area schools – Glenview Middle School, East Moline, Wilson Middle School, Moline and Pleasant Valley Junior High School, Iowa.

The day featured breakout sessions where students participated in virtual welding, supply chain management, making keychains on a CNC machine and production line flow. They also toured the new Esports Lab and new Industrial Maintenance Lab.
