If residents haven’t stocked up on supplies yet, now is their chance. According to weather.com, a storm bringing up to a foot of snow should arrive Monday night shortly after 7:22 pm.

According to the National Weather Service and the issuing office in Davenport, a winter storm warning remains in effect from 6 pm Monday to 6 am on Wednesday. Heavy snow is expected with a total snow accumulation of 7 to 12 inches.

Winds could gust as high as 40 mph on Tuesday afternoon through evening leading to considerable blowing and drifting snow.

Travel could be very difficult, and people are being advised not to travel, but if it’s necessary to have a flashlight, food and water inside their vehicle in case of an emergency.
