\On Monday night, the Varsity Geese Volleyball team improved its season record to 10-1 after defeating the LaMoille Lady Lions in two sets. They showcased many skills that contributed to their victory.

Senior Abigail Cabada started the first set with a five-point serve run, starting the Geese off with a 5-0 lead.

LaMoille struggled throughout the set due to repeated mistakes that gave the Lady Geese a seven-point lead over the Lions. This energy resulted in the first timeout of the set, with the score at 9-2; the Lady Geese leading.

The Lady Geese had great talk on the court that helped them have strong passes on serve receive. Hitters Kyleigh Anderson and Jordan Nelson complete kills that helped the Geese gain a big lead.

The first set ended with the score 25-9 in favor of the Lady Geese.

The second set started differently from the first. The Lions started strong, making fewer mistakes than in the previous set.

Each team was battling back and forth, making mistakes that didn’t allow either side to pull ahead.

After calling a time-out, the Geese worked as a team to gain a lead over the Lions. The offense made a big difference, helping the Geese win the second set over Lamoille 25-13.
