On Saturday, the Titans challenged the Galva Wildcats in a doubleheader match, held in Galva.
Both games were a breeze for the Titans, as they came out victorious both times.
Game one ended with a score of 5-1, and the second ended 9-3.
A highlight for game one was Maddux Heitzler, and his contribution of three hits with four at-bats; he singled in the third, doubled in the sixth and singled again in the seventh.
The first inning went slowly, until an error made by the Titans put the Wildcats on the board in the bottom of the first.
With a helpful single to left field by Nic Thurston, the Titans were able to bring the game to a 1-1 tie by the top of the third.
This game continued on with a 1-1 tie, until the Titans reclaimed the lead at the top of sixth, when Jaxson Dunn singled allowing a runner to score.
By the end of the game, with great determination the Titans pulled a 5-1 win.
Soon after, they retook the field and played the Wildcats once more.
This game was no different.
The score stayed 0-0, until a Titans batter was hit by a pitch, allowing the Titans to get on the board in the top of the second.
The game remained 1-0, until the Titans came alive in the fifth inning. The Titans scored six runs in the fifth; Aaden Verstraete tripled, scoring two runs, Maddux Heitzler drew a walk, scoring one run, Thurston singled, scoring two runs, and one run scored on another play.
The Wildcats scored their first run in the bottom of the fifth.
The game concluded with a 9-3 win for the Titans.
