A doubleheader between Annawan-Wethersfield and ROWVA-Williamsfield last week featured a pitchers’ duel and an offensive blowout.

R/W 1, Titans 0

In the first game, the Titans managed just four hits in a game that was scoreless until R-W pushed over the game’s only run in the bottom of the fourth to get the 1-0 win.

Colin Hornback, who was the only Titan with more than one hit in the game, went three and a third innings on the mound, giving up just one hit and the one R-W run. Maddux Heitzler came in to get the last two outs in the fourth.

Titans 9, R/W 0

It was a different story in the second game. The Titans scored three in the first inning and never looked back.

Kellan Keane led the offensive attack with a triple and four total bases. Zeb Rashid stole two bases in the game.

Koeyn DeClercq went all the way for the shutout, giving up one hit and one walk and striking out five.
