Recently, the AW Titans varsity played the Golden Eagles of Mercer County and the Heat of West Central.

They were triumphant over both teams, as they defeated the Golden Eagles 10-5 and the Heat 12-6.

Against the Golden Eagles, the Titans got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Dane Ross doubled to center field, and Myer Heitzler singled to left field, each scoring one run.

A single by Cole Goodley, a triple by Maddux Heitzler, and a single by Ross helped the Titans extend their early lead in the second.

The Titans added two runs in the third. Maddux Heitzler tripled to center field, making the score 8-1.

Maddux Heitzler, as the pitcher, allowed one hit and one run over three innings, striking out four and walking one. He also drove in four runs on three hits to help lead the Titans to victory. 

The Titans tallied 12 hits in the game. Nathan Harker and Ross each collected multiple hits for the Titans. Harker and Goodley each stole multiple bases for the Titans. The Titans stole six bases in the game.

The game concluded in favor of the Titans, with a final score of 10-5.

Just a few days later, the Titans were successful yet again against the Heat.

The Titans were the first to get on the board in the first when Myer Heitzler singled, scoring two runs.

The Titans scored six runs on five hits in the bottom of the fifth inning. Maddux Heitzler tripled, scoring one run, Myer Heitzler singled, scoring one run, Jaxson Dunn singled, scoring one run, Devon Horrie singled, scoring one run, and a wild pitch scored two runs. 

Ross, who was pitching, allowed two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking one. 

Horrie led the Titans with three runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The outfielder went 2-for-3 on the day.  Dunn, Maddux Heitzler, Myer Heitzler, and Horrie each collected two hits for the Titans.

In the end, the Titans easily dispatched the Heat 12-6.
