Annawan-Wethersfield running back Zeb Rashid looks to find a way around Havana defender Ryan Dye as the Titans’ Alex Earley (50) chases the play.

The Annawan-Wethersfield Titans scored on their first four possessions en route to a 42-0 drubbing of Havana on Annawan’s homecoming.

The win makes the Titans playoff-eligible with a 5-1 record. Havana remains winless at 0-6.

A-W wasted no time getting on the board. After a seven-yard run by Zeb Rashid moved them to the Havana 45, quarterback Dillon Horrie carried on the next three plays — the last one a 19-yard touchdown run.

The Ducks got in three plays on offense, but the third one was a fumble that A-W recovered on the Havana 12. After Rashid ran it to the 5, Horrie connected with Nic Thurston to make it 14-0 with 7:11 to go in the first quarter.

Annawan-Wethersfield held Havana without a first down and they punted to the Titans’ 11. It took A-W just six plays to make it to Havana’s one-yard line. Horrie threw for the touchdown to Colin Hornback, and it was 21-0 Titans with two minutes left in the first quarter.

Annawan-Wethersfield expanded their lead to 35-0 at halftime with a two-yard TD run by Rashid and a 10-yard pass from Horrie to Landon Sauer.

The final score came on Rashid’s 58-yard touchdown run with three minutes to go in the third quarter, which triggered the continuous clock for the rest of the game.

In the fourth quarter the Ducks got their closest to the goal line when Hunter Nichols ran to the A-W 6. But a bad snap on the ensuing third-down play led to a recovery by the Titans’ Riley Rumbold.
