The Sunshine Community Services will be offering their Step Ladder Tutoring Program again this year starting on Tuesday, Sept. 2 until the end of the school year.

The tutoring sessions take place after school from 3 – 4:15 p.m. at Central Jr. High School and Wethersfield Jr High School and are for students in the seventh and eighth grade.

The program helps students improve their skills in core subjects such as reading and math. There is no charge for their services. Scholarships are available and students will have opportunities to assist with their fundraising efforts twice a year. Participating students will receive free books, snacks and supplies as needed.

If a student has not been previously enrolled in their program then a parent or guardian will need to complete the enrollment forms. To enroll a student, contact the Sunshine Community Services Center at 309-853-7751 or email them at stepladder@sunshinecsc.com. For more information you can also check them out on their website www.sunshinecsc.com or on their Facebook page.
