The Step Ladder Summer Tutoring Program is underway at the Kewanee Public Library.

Step Ladder is a program of the Sunshine Community Service Center in Kewanee. Tutoring sessions will be held from 1-2:15 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays through next week in the library’s second-floor community room.

The program is open to students in seventh and eighth grades, and the goal is to help students improve skill mastery in core subject areas and better prepare them to return to school in the fall.

If a student has not been enrolled in the program previously, parents or guardians will need to complete enrollment forms.

Participating students will receive free books, snacks and school supplies. There is no charge for the tutoring services, and scholarships are available.
