The Step Ladder tutoring program is offering summer tutoring for seventh and eighth graders at the Kewanee Public Library.

Sessions will be held from 1-2:15 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays through July 27 in the upstairs community room at the library.

The tutoring seeks to improve skill mastery in subject areas, mainly math and reading. The aim is for students to be better prepared for entering school in the fall.

If a student has not been previously enrolled in the Step Ladder program, parents or guardian will need to complete enrollment forms.

Scholarships are available.

Participating students will receive free books and school supplies.
