Area residents and students can enjoy a blast from the past Wednesday as about 40 vintage Stearman biplanes will fly into the Kewanee Municipal Airport.
The flight to Kewanee has been part of a major Stearman event at the airport in Galesburg for years.

The Stearman was a trainer biplane for military pilots during World War II. In the 1930s-40s, over 10,000 Stearman were built in the United States, and taught more American pilots to fly than any other aircraft.
The public is invited to visit the airport and see the Stearmans on Wednesday, Sept. 4 between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
